Fourth of July!

Hello again. I know this is earlier than a week update, but lets face it, I don't have anything better to do when i'm in this apartment. So here it is, Fourth of July and us Bohland's are in Cali. So you all are probably wondering what we decided to, Well everything was basically yesterday. We had the choice of going to the rodeo or going to a festival in El derado hills. Well we heard from some local Californians that if we were to go to the rodeo that we should take a block of styrofoam for each of us. Why you ask? Well unless we wanted our fanny flesh melting into the concrete bleachers then we Bohland's would have been sitting a chunk of foam. Either way we would have been baking in the sun and we haven't adapted to this scorching weather just yet. So we decided to attend the El derado festival. It was nice... and hot... still. Sierra my mom and I got feathers in our hair, my dad got to try some Vietnamese food and Julian had a dance battle in the street to a Michael Jackson song. The fireworks were amazing and we had a blast!

Today we went bike searching, we tried 3 shops and my mom and Julian had success otherwise sierra and I are going to another place tomorrow that happened to be closed today. I am getting a mountain bike so i can do some actual mountain biking out by the american river. Julian is getting Sierra's old bike and he also got a knock off "stunt" bike at the good old wally world.

The family has spent the past couple days out by the pool in the afternoon/evening. I got an awesome tan and we are all bronzing. Our sun kissed skin will melt your popsicles!

As soon as this truck comes with my card reader i will be able to post pictures! So that will be happening as soon as possible! :)

But for now its dinner time, we are grillin' out tonight!!! First home cooked meal in about a month!

Welcome to the Bohland California Blog!

Hello all. We Bohlands arrived safely in Sacramento California yesterday, July 1st. Unfortunately, we had a misunderstanding about the hamster situation. So Matt and Saccy Bohland got a luxurious ride in a limousine  from the Detroit airport! They were sent to the Strickler residence for a temporary visit while I find them new loving families! Any way, today has been very long. Still trying to get used to this time difference. You would think, if we can go 6 hours ahead, 3 hours behind should be a piece of cake! Well, wrong! I had to use all of my body and brain strength not to fall over at dinner this evening. We didnt do much today though so it has to be the jet lag thats killing us! This morning we woke up and ate at a greek cafe for breakfast. DELISH! We went back to the Lake Natoma Hotel in which we stayed last night, and Sierra, Julian and I went to walk some paths down by the lake. There were some signs warning and informing us of mountain lions, rattle snakes and poison oak. Remember! NEVER walk paths alone and always make noise so you dont alarm the lions! Lets just hope we dont have to encounter one of these defensive creatures up close and personal... plus in this 100 degree heat, that could get uncomfortable. Well, I think this will conclude my first post. I am planning to update them as often as i can. Maybe a once a week basis. So Check often if you want to know what us Bohland's are up to in Sac town!!! Time for bed, Goodnight!
